Jeff Glor is the news anchor on CBS's "The Early Show."

Since joining CBS News in May 2007, Jeff Glor has covered major stories both stateside and around the world. He has reported from Baghdad, Iraq, where he was embedded with U.S. soldiers and interviewed General David Petraeus one-one-one. Glor also traveled to China for a month in August 2008 to cover the Beijing Olympic Games. He has been heavily involved in CBS News's "Campaign 08" coverage, including his time at the Republican National Convention, where he was The Early Show's primary correspondent on the convention floor. In April 2008, Glor was a lead member of the team covering Pope Benedict XVI's historic visit to Washington, D.C., and New York City. He has reported on tornadoes, hurricanes, the economy, and dozens of other stories for all CBS News broadcasts.

Before joining CBS News, Glor served as the weekend evening news anchor and a weekday reporter for WHDH-TV Boston since 2003. He covered the 2004 Summer Olympics from Greece, the Pope's death from Rome in 2005, and the congressional hearings on steroid use in Major League Baseball.

Prior to that, Glor served as the co-anchor of WSTM-TV Syracuse's 5 p.m. newscast and a reporter for the 11 p.m. newscast (2000-03), as well as the morning news anchor (1997-2000). During that time, the ratings improved and Glor's newscast became the No. 1 morning program in the market. Among the national stories he covered while in Syracuse were the terrorist attacks on September 11 from New York City, as well as the first anniversary of the attacks and the crash of Flight 587 in Queens, New York. Glor began his journalism career as the station's news writer while he was attending college. While in Central New York, he was named "Best Male News Anchor" by the Syracuse New Times, one of the 40 most promising professionals under the age of 40, and he served as a contributing researcher and writer on "The Legal Handbook for NY State Journalists."

Glor was graduated magna cum laude from Syracuse University in 1997 with dual degrees, in journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, and in economics from the College of Arts and Sciences. He was awarded the Henry J. Wolff prize, given to the Newhouse student "most proficient in journalism."

Glor was born and raised in Tonawanda, New York, just outside Buffalo.

I was just watching the Early show 10/18/2011 7:00am. I am very dissapointed in what I just saw and I turned the channel. He made a "smurk" about President Obamas bus tour, and that was very unprofessional..I am sure your ratings dropped tremendously..if not you surely lost me. The anchors need to keep it professional and non-biased about political isssues. Anyone can see that they are republicans and always sneer President Obama. Yes, I am going to play the race card..Jeff Glor is clearly a BIGOT AND IT IS ALL ABOUT PRESIDENT OBABMA BEING A BLACK MAN. I HOPE GLOR GETS TAXED!!! I AM ASHAMED FOR THIS MAN AND WHAT HE JUST DID ON TV AND NOW HE IS LOOKING ALL EMBARRASSED!! CAUGHT ON TAPE!! THESE PEOPLE NEED PRAYER, AND I DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE WATCHING THE EARLY SHOW...THATS SAD!!!

Who is he dating? What do you think of him?
