Jeff Gutt from "The X Factor 2013" is one of top 16 contestants in Season 3 of the FOX reality singing competition series. This single dad was cut from Boot Camp in Season 2, but he came back ready to take action on the show's stage again. When he sang Aerosmith's "Don't Wanna Miss a Thing" for his Season 3 audition, Simon Cowell stopped him, not liking his version of it because he thought Jeff was trying to sound like Steven Tyler. Given a chance at a second song, Jeff chose to rock out with Radiohead's "Creep" and redeemed himself. The judges gave him four yeses.

Jeff Gutt made it through to boot camp and is competing in the over 25s category under the mentorship of judge Kelly Rowland. Jeff sang "Amazing Grace" for the four-chair challenge, and Kelly selected him to be in the top 4 over 25s.

Having spent a lifetime writing songs and performing with various bands across the United States, Gutt has built a reputation as a strong frontman, captivating audiences of many age groups and musical tastes. Well known for his work with the now-defunct Dry Cell and fronting Band With No Name (BWNN), Gutt gained international fanfare after delivering an inspired performance of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" on the 2012 season of "The X Factor." The video of this performance has been viewed millions of times by fans around the world.

Gutt is from Clinton Township, Michigan.
