Profoundly gifted with an "off-the-charts" IQ score, Jenna Singleton marches to her own drum. She loves astronomy, black holes, how the earth was formed and is very interested in dragons and Minecraft.
A voracious reader, Jenna appreciates a variety of book subjects but is especially interested in genetics and what it would be like to crossbreed animals. As an 8 year old, unbeknownst to her parents, she decided to mate a Russian Dwarf hamster with a Campbell Russian Dwarf hamster to "see which genes are dominant." Jenna has extremely supportive and patient parents who are members of SENG (Supporting the Emotional Needs of the Gifted).
Jenna is in the Duke TIP Program, has attended the University of Texas Summer Institute for the Gifted, the Texas State Edwards Aquifer Research Summer Camp and is a Mensa member. Jenna is strong willed and self directed, so she will only win if it is HER idea and if she decides she wants to.
