Jeremy Bobb stars in "The Knick" on Cinemax as the hospital's manager, Herman Barrow, who is deeply in debt to local gangsters and routinely skimps on the hospital's upkeep to pay for his extracurricular activities.

Originally from central Ohio, Jeremy Bobb arrived in New York and quickly landed two Broadway plays: "Translantions," the period drama set in 18th century Ireland with Garry Hines directing, and Mark Twain's "Is He Dead?," a modern comedy set in the 19th century. Since then Bobb has originated roles in new works by the likes of John Guare, Michael Weller and Donald Margulies. Bobb also played in "Richard III" opposite Kevin Spacey in Sam Mendes' production in New York, London and around the world.

In Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Donald Margulies' comedy "Shipwrecked!," Bobb played more than twenty characters. In the classic musical "Finian's Rainbow," opposite Cheyenne Jackson, he played the leprechaun Og. In Michael Weller's new play "Beast," Bobb played multiple characters opposite Corey Stoll and Logan Marshall Green.

Making the segue to film and television, Bobb has appeared in HBO's original movie "You Don't Know Jack" and drama series "Boardwalk Empire," Comedy Central's "Inside Amy Schumer," CBS's "Blue Bloods," NBC's "Law & Order: SVU," and "Animal Rescue." Bobb has also had recurring roles in Netflix's "House of Cards" and CBS's "Hostages."
