Jesse Williams stars in "Grey's Anatomy" on ABC as Dr. Jackson Avery. He was introduced in the fall of 2009 and joined the cast as a regular for Season 7.

Jesse Williams made his big-screen debut in Warner Brothers' "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2," playing Leo, the love interest to Alexis Bledel. The film also starred America Ferrera, Blake Lively and Michael Rady. Williams also starred in award-winning director Antoine Fuqua's "Brooklyn's Finest," opposite Richard Gere, Don Cheadle, Ethan Hawke and Wesley Snipes; "Red Tails," opposite Terrence Howard, Cuba Gooding Jr. and Bryan Cranston; and producer Joss Whedon's "The Cabin in the Woods," opposite Richard Jenkins and Bradley Whitford.

On television, Williams is known for playing Drew Collins in ABC Family's "GREEK" and Eric Medina in The N's "Beyond the Break." He also appeared on "Law & Order."

On stage, Williams starred in award-winning playwright Edward Albee's "The American Dreambox" and "The Sandbox" at the Cherry Lane Theatre.

He currently divides his time between New York and Los Angeles.
