Jessica Lu stars in "Awkward" on MTV as Ming Huang, one of Jenna Hamilton's (Ashley Rickards) two best friends. The role marks Lu's series regular debut.
Both Chinese and Japanese, Jessica Lu has also made guest appearances in NBC's "Law & Order: LA ," CBS's "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," The CW's "90210" and NBC's "Life." In addition, she was in the direct-to-video "Mortal Kombat: Rebirth," starring Jeri Ryan and Michael Jai White, and has been featured in several short films.
Lu modeled for numerous print campaigns and catalogs including Got Milk?, Land's End, Montgomery Wards, OshKosh, Sears, Claire's Boutique and Carson Pirie Scott.
Lu graduated with honors, earning a Musical Theatre Performance degree, from Columbia College in Chicago, Illinois, in May 2008.
