Jilon VanOver Ghai stars in History Channel's miniseries "Hatfields & McCoys" as Ransom Bray, who wants to learn the law enforcement business and boldly states his desire to become the personal deputy of Bad Frank Phillips. Half-cop, half dry-gulcher, he becomes Bad Frank's second in command, assisting in the merciless work of hunting and killing Hatfields.

Jilon VanOver Ghai is a Southern California native who has spent much of his life explaining to people how to pronounce his name ... (Ji-lone). He earned a football scholarship to Murray State University in Kentucky, where he earned a degree in Theatre Arts and then moved to Hollywood.

Jilon has appeared in several TV shows and over 20 feature films. He ended 2011 playing the anti-Nazi German history professor, Jurgen Schmitt, in the pilot "Thor's Hammer," and Teddy, the antagonizing Golden Gloves boxer in the feature film, "Counterpunch." In 2012, he played the leading role of Amish farmer, Lucas Holst, in the feature film, "Sworn to Silence," opposite Neve Campbell and directed by Stephen Gyllenhaal.

His television credits include guest appearances in "NCIS: Los Angeles," "Cold Case" and "Psych."
