"The Jim Gaffigan Show" is a comedy series on TV Land created by Peter Tolan and Jim Gaffigan, who is The New York Times best-selling author of "Dad Is Fat." The single-camera series is inspired by Gaffigan's real life, exploring one man's struggle in New York City to find a balance between fatherhood, stand-up comedy and an insatiable appetite.

The cast also includes Ashley Williams ("How I Met Your Mother") as Jim's off-beat Catholic wife, Jeannie; Adam Goldberg ("Fargo") as Jim's aggressively single comedian friend, Dave; and Michael Ian Black ("Ed") as Daniel, Jeannie's gay ex-boyfriend and confidante, who is also Jim's biggest critic. Tongayi Chirisa ("Crusoe") co-stars, playing Jim and Jeannie's endearing priest, Father Nicholas. Throughout the season, there will also be special celebrity cameos by Chris Rock, Steve Buscemi, Rachel Maddow, Keith Olbermann, Lawrence O'Donnell, Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski, Dave Attell, Hannibal Buress, Macaulay Culkin, Janeane Garofalo among others.

Jeff Lowell ("Manhattan Love Story") is the showrunner of the series and executive produces alongside Jim Gaffigan and Jeannie Gaffigan. Brillstein Entertainment Partners' Alex Murray and Sandy Wernick also executive produce along with Michael Wimer of Fedora Entertainment. Seth Gordon ("The Goldbergs") directed the pilot episode. Peter Tolan ("Rescue Me," "The Larry Sanders Show") executive produced the pilot and serves as a consultant on the series.
