British actor Joe Absolom achieved fame for his work in the popular BBC drama "East Enders" as Matthew Rose when he was 18 years old. Since then, he has gone on to work in television and film, and is best known for his role as the lead Al Large in the various "Doc Martin" series on ITV.

Film credits include "Extreme Ops," directed by Christian Duguay for Paramount Pictures; "Long Time Dead," directed by Marcus Adams for Working Title; and "Dream," directed by Mikael Hylin for Acier Productions. Television credits include "Scaredy Cat," "Ashes to Ashes," "New Tricks," "The Long Firm," "Vincent," "Servants" and "Caught in a Trap."
