Joe Morton Eureka Joe Morton Eureka Joe Morton Pictures Joe Morton stars as Henry Deacon on SCI FI Channel dramedy "Eureka." Henry Deacon is a true jack-of-all-trades. Masquerading as the local mechanic, his feats of engineering are a constant source of wonder and amusement. Whether outfitting Eureka's police cruisers with the latest and greatest gadgets or inventing a global air conditioning system, Henry has the keen ability to figure out the mechanics of nearly any contraption. So why is Henry such a dedicated do-gooder? Perhaps he sees his work in Eureka as a chance to redeem himself for sins of a complicated past. Joe Morton appeared in "American Gangster" with Denzel Washington and the independent film "Badland," for which he also composed and performed a song entitled "The Devil's Lonely Fire." Joe Morton costarred with Jamie Foxx, Jessica Biel and Sam Shepard in "Stealth"; "Paycheck" with Ben Afleck and Uma Thurman; "Ali" with Will Smith; "Dragonfly" with Kevin Costner; and "Bounce," again with Ben Afleck and Gwenyth Paltrow. Film audiences perhaps best know Joe Morton as "The Brother From Another Planet," directed by frequent collaborator John Sayles, or as the ill-fated scientist in "Terminator 2 - Judgment Day." Joe Morton's film credits include "Lone Star," "City of Hope," "Speed," "Executive Decision," "The Astronaut's Wife," "Blues Brothers 20000," "Tap" and Gary Sinese's "Of Mice And Men" in which he portrayed Crooks. Joe Morton played Serge in the hit Broadway play "Art," with Judd Hirsch and George Wendt, and was honored to be asked to join the company in London, where the show originated. Also in London, Joe Morton portrayed Colin Powell in the critically acclaimed "Stuff Happens" by David Hare. Joe Morton's stage career has roots in the original production of "Hair." Television audiences have enjoyed Joe Morton's starring roles in the series "Equal Justice," "Under One Roof," with James Earl Jones, and "Tribeca" (for which he also directed an episode). Joe Morton plays recurring roles on "Smallville," "The Practice" and "CSI: NY."
