Joey Kovar from "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew" is one of the patients undergoing therapy for addiction on Season 3 of the VH1 documentary series. Previously, he starred on MTV's reality docu-drama, "The Real World: Hollywood."

Joey Kovar worked as a personal trainer and aspiring actor in Chicago when he was cast on "The Real World: Hollywood" in 2008. His "big break" fell apart though when he became uncontrollably drunk and high on drugs during the show. His behavior became so outrageous that he was asked to leave the program. It was this very public fall that brought Joey's long struggle with addiction to light. It soon became known that Joey had been abusing massive amounts of alcohol, cocaine, ecstasy, meth and, as part of his bodybuilding, steroids since he was a teenager and had come very close to death through an overdose.

A true blue Chicagoan, Joey Kovar has never ventured outside the state of Illinois. As a personal trainer and former bodybuilder, he is devoted to physical fitness and works out all the time. Despite staying focused, he is haunted by his troubled past that was riddled with addiction. Joey hopes "The Real World: Hollywood" will lead him down a new path so he can follow his dream of becoming an actor. But his impossibly high expectations make dealing with the ups and downs of the business difficult. Will Hollywood prove to be too much for him?
