Jolene Purdy stars as Mandella in ABC Family's comedy "10 Things I Hate About You." Previously, Jolene Purdy starred as Molly on FOX's "Do Not Disturb."

Born and raised in Torrance, California, Jolene Purdy grew up loving theater and, with the help of her grandparents, began taking singing and dancing lessons.

Jolene Purdy's first performing job was in the children's chorus of the musical "Evita" at the South Bay Civic Light Opera. At Redondo Union High School, Jolene Purdy was active in the thespian society and the school choir, and, during the summer of her sophomore year, traveled to London to participate in the British Arts Awards, where she took first prize as a vocal soloist. Shortly after, Jolene Purdy landed the role of Cherita Chen in the feature film "Donnie Darko." Jolene Purdy continued to focus on school and auditioned during the summer, landing roles on "Judging Amy" and "Boston Public."

After graduating from high school, Jolene Purdy was cast as the narrator in the "Aladdin Live" show at Disneyland, which she did while pursuing a liberal arts degree.

Jolene Purdy is half Japanese and half Caucasian. Jolene Purdy has two younger sisters, Michele and Merrianne, and a beagle named Lucy whom she taught to sing with her. Jolene Purdy currently lives in her hometown of Torrance, California.
