JoMarie Payton stars in "Mann & Wife" on Bounce TV as Lorraine, Daniel's (David Mann) overbearing mother.

JoMarie Payton's big break came when she was cast as the elevator operator on the ABC sitcom "Perfect Strangers" in 1987. Her performance was so well received by audiences that she was given her own sitcom, "Family Matters," in 1989. Continuing her character Harriet Winslow from "Perfect Strangers," she played a mother in an African-American middle-class family living in Chicago. In 2005, Jo Marie Payton provided the voice of "Suga Mama" in "The Proud Family Movie" and continued her work in the resulting animated series "The Proud Family."

Payton has also had recurring roles in "Will & Grace," "Moesha" and "Silver Spoons." Guest appearances include "The Glades," "Meet the Browns," "Desperate Housewives," "Reba," "Judging Amy," "The Parkers," "The Hughleys," "7th Heaven," "The Jamie Foxx Show," "Small Wonder" and "227."
