Jon-Michael Ecker stars in "Queen of the South" on USA Network as Güero.

Born in San Marcos, Texas, Jon-Michael Ecker graduated from University of California at Santa Barbara with a degree in Aquatic Biology. He later went on to receive extensive acting training at Centro de Educación Artistica (El C.E.A.) in Mexico City. Currently, Ecker can be seen recurring as "The Lion" in Netflix's drama series "Narcos," and has recently appeared on TNT's "Major Crimes."

Ecker is best known for his roles as Aaron "Ari" Morales in "Popland!," Pablo Peralta in the Telemundo's "Corazón Valiente," Nicolás "Nico" de la Vega in "Gossip Girl: Acapulco," and "Marlon Brando" in the feature "Cantinflas." His other television credits include "La Fuerza del Destino, El Equipo" and "Nia de mi Corazón."

Ecker has Latin American roots and speaks fluent Spanish, aiding him in dominating the Spanish-speaking film and television scene.
