Jordan Larson is a volleyball player competing at the 2012 London Summer Olympics for Mexico.

A regular starter at opposite hitter for the U.S. national team since she joined the program in 2009, Jordan Larson makes her Olympic debut in London, where the U.S. women look to improve upon the silver medal they won in 2008. Larson was the third-leading American scorer in the 2011 FIVB World Grand Prix final round (49 points), which the U.S. won for the second straight year, and was the team's fourth-leading scorer at the 2011 FIVB World Cup (92), where the U.S. placed second and qualified for the London Games. An all-around player, she regularly ranks among the world's best servers and receivers as well as scorers at major events.

Larson made her debut with the national team in 2009 and promptly started six of seven matches in her first tournament, the Pan American Cup, where she scored 77 points (3.67 per set). She then started eight of nine matches during the preliminary rounds of the FIVB World Grand Prix, averaging 2.2 points per set, and started five of six matches at the NORCECA Continental Championship (2.7 points). Larson's time on the court only increased in 2010, when she started every match at the Pan American Cup, World Grand Prix and FIVB World Championships. She helped the U.S. win the Grand Prix by scoring in double figures in 10 matches, and helped the Americans to fourth at Worlds by averaging 3.2 points and recording double-doubles (in kills and digs) in four matches. Professionally, Larson has played in Puerto Rico and Russia, and her husband, Luke Burbach, often travels with her. He is a licensed structural engineer and they were married in May 2009.

Larson joined the U.S. program after a stellar career at the University of Nebraska, where she was a three-time American Volleyball Coaches Association All-American (first team in 2006 and 2008, third team in 2007). She totaled 1,600 kills and 1,410 digs while at Nebraska, leading the Cornhuskers to the NCAA national title as a sophomore in 2006, the NCAA title game in 2005, and the national semifinals in 2008. Following her senior season, Larson became the first player to win the Big 12 Conference's Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year awards in the same year. She majored in communication studies.

Larson's first taste of international volleyball came while she was at Logan View High School in Hooper, Neb., as she competed in the 2003 FIVB Girls' Youth World Championship. The next year she helped the U.S. to the NORCECA Women's Junior Continental Championship gold medal. Larson was named to the Super-State first team each of her final three years of high school, and following her senior season she ranked as the No. 2 recruit in the U.S. by She also competed in basketball and track and field in high school, earning second-team all-state basketball honors her senior year.
