Jose Diaz from "The First 48: Missing Persons" is one of the police detectives featured in the A&E reality series.

In his career, Det. Jose Diaz has seen and done it all. At 18, he was an MP in the Marine Corps, stationed in Southeast Asia. He joined the Chicago Police 17 years ago and he worked a Gang Tactical Team, Internal Affairs, and the Organized Crime Squad. He's been a Missing Persons detective for 4 years. "I like putting families back together."

Like his partner, Det. Nari Isakson, Diaz is a fitness fanatic. He runs ultra-marathons, sometimes with his daughter. After his shift ends, he often rides his bicycle through city streets until the early hours of the morning.
