Joshua "Bam Bam" Brown from "Alaskan Bush People" stars in the Discovery Channel reality docu-series.

Joshua "Bam Bam" Brown is the second-born son of Billy Bryan Brown and Ami Brown, In his early years Joshua fit his nickname, Bam Bam, perfectly. He would go until he was so tired he would just lay down and go to sleep wherever he was. He was one of those "want to see, want to do everything" kind of kids.

By the age of ten or twelve he had already become proficient with the ways of the forest; hunting and tracking were natural to him.

When home in their forest cabin, Bam Bam can be found doing Ti Chi on the hill behind their home, hunting, fishing, or propped up by his favorite tree overlooking the stream, reading a book. Onboard the boat he is the boson or deck boss. He is the go between, from the wheelhouse to the deck, from skipper to crew. He, like the skipper has to watch everything and everyone on the boat and make sure everything goes as planed and everyone stays coordinated.

With Bam Bam you never have to wonder where you stand; he will tell you plain and quick and will freely give his opinion on any topic when asked. He's comfortable alone, as his father says, "Bam has always been a bit more of a loner then the rest of the kids, he has his way of doing things."

Bam Bam has always shown a knack for electronics. Since his first time using a computer he has developed his skills tremendously and even builds websites for his family, their company and his father's books. When asked about computers and the internet, he said, "There's not exactly cell phones and wi-fi in every cove out here, so I take my laptop into town and get on line when I can, to work on our website, the company, the books, work on my studies or just cut loose a bit and have some fun online. I like the internet it's a doorway to learn the answer to any question I can think to ask, and it's always fun to watch a video of someone being an idiot."

In the forest, at their cabin or on board their boat, Bam Bam is always ready with his camera. Just like his sidearm, it is almost always carried with him. His mother said, "Ever since he was little he always loved to take pictures, and even then he was good at it." His father says,
"He's always had a photographers eye. The pictures he takes are moments frozen in time. These pictures are an expression of the world around him."
