Joshua Davis from "The Voice" is one of top 48 artists in Season 8 of the NBC reality singing competition series. From Traverse City, Michigan, he is on Adam Levine's team.

Joshua Davis sang "I Shall Be Released" by Bob Dylan for his blind audition. After both Shelton and Adam Levine turned their chairs around, Joshua chose Blake Shelton to be his coach. Joshua later was stolen by Adam Levine during the battle rounds.

Joshua played in bands throughout high school, but music was mainly a hobby. He earned his bachelor's degree in theater, and it wasn't until he taught at a summer camp in college that he realized he wanted to work with music full time. He started a band, and after graduation they spent years playing at festivals, but once his daughter was born he took a break from touring. He's been working locally as a musician, but with another baby on the way, Joshua is hoping "The Voice" will help him continue to support his family with his music.
