In 2007, Julia Voth moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting and soon booked the lead in "Bitch Slap," a thinking man's throwback to the exploitation films of the 1950s, 60s and 70s. Julia Voth plays Trixie, a down-on-her-luck stripper with a heart of gold. The film is scheduled for release in early 2009.
Shortly after that, Julia Voth was offered a role in "Fame Fatale" a mini-movie for designer Tara Subkoff of BEBE. It is a dark look into the haunted and lonely mind of a Hollywood Starlet. It's the first online ad campaign of its kind for BEBE. It is film noir meets fashion.
In the fall of 2008, Julia Voth appeared in Barra Grant's "Love Hurts" as a younger version of a character played by Carrie-Ann Moss. It is a romantic comedy about love, life, and how we sometimes lose sight of the ones we love. Julia Voth also stars in comedy "The Anniversary," written and directed by John Campea.
