One of the comedy world's most impressive talents, June Diane Raphael, is translating her successful sketch and improv comedy background to the big screen. Raphael broke into the comedy scene with the lauded two-woman sketch

comedy show, "Rode Hard and Put Away Wet," alongside Casey Wilson. Raphael and Wilson performed the show at the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theatre in New York. Rode Hard was also chosen as an official selection of the 2005 HBO Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado. Together, the pair was named Best Comedic Duo at the 2005 Emerging Comics of New York (ECNY) Awards.

Raphael is currently in production on "*ss Backwards" directed by Chris Nelson, written by and starring her and Casey Wilson.

Raphael's feature acting credits include New Line's "Going the Distance," opposite Drew Barrymore and Justin Long; Harold Ramis's comedy "Year One," opposite Jack Black and Michael Cera; and Ryan Piers Williams' drama "American Tragic," opposite Emmy winner America Ferrera and Oscar-nominated actress Melissa Leo. Raphael previously worked with producer Judd Apatow on the comedy "Forgetting Sarah Marshall." Raphael is also a skilled dramatic actress, having worked with Oscar-nominated director, David Fincher, on the thriller "Zodiac" with Oscar nominees Jake Gyllenhaal and Robert Downey Jr.

Raphael continues to perform at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in addition to working in television in Los Angeles. She has also cemented her place in comedy on "Happy Endings," "Party Down," "Players," "In the Motherhood," MTV's "Human Giant" and HBO's "Flight of the Conchords."

Raphael is currently re-writing "You Complete Us" for Endgame Entertainment and Offspring Entertainment with her writing partner Casey Wilson. Prior to writing "*ss Backwards, Raphael co-wrote the hit comedy "Bride Wars," which starred Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway. The female-led comedy has grossed over $96 million at the box office.

Raised in Long Island, New York, Raphael graduated from New York University and is truly making a name for herself with her authentic and innovative comedic style.
