Karan Brar stars in "Jessie" on Disney Channel as Ravi Ross, a 10-year-old adoptee. Thrilled with his new life in America, but wanting to remain linked to his beloved Indian homeland, Ravi keeps a seven-foot Asian Water Monitor Lizard, Mr. Kippling, in his room.

On the big screen, Brar was seen in the popular movies "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules" as Chirag Gupta, reprising the role from the original film, "Diary of a Wimpy Kid." The role marked his feature film debut. In his native Seattle, he appeared in the "Seeds of Compassion" advertorial announcing the Dalai Lama's visit, as well as in local educational videos. He ranked in the top 10 in the monologue competition during the 2007 International Presentation of Performers L.A.

Brar speaks both fluent English and Punjabi. His hobbies include hip-hop dancing and playing Nintendo's Wii. He also likes to volunteer at his local Seattle-area church and enjoys participating in all manner of sports, including soccer, swimming, ice skating, bowling and cycling.

Brar calls Seattle home, but recently moved to the Los Angeles area with his parents and older sister. He would love to add a pet dog to his family, but he's yet to convince his parents.
