On Season 7, Karina Smirnoff is partnered with Rocco DiSpirito. Karina Smirnoff was runner-up alongside partner Mario Lopez during the third season of "Dancing with the Stars." On Season 4, Karina Smirnoff was paired with country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, coming in 5th place. On Season 5, Karina Smirnoff danced with world champion boxer, Floyd Mayweather Jr., finishing in 9th place. On Season 6, Karina Smirnoff was partnered with singer Mario Barrett and came in 5th place. Born in the Ukraine, Karina Smirnoff came to the U.S. with her family at age 12. Karina Smirnoff began ballet lessons at the age of 5 before moving on to figure skating which she studied for an additional five years. At the age of nine, Karina Smirnoff was introduced to ballroom dancing and fell in love with it. After high school Karina Smirnoff graduated from Fordham University with a law degree but put her academic studies on hold to pursue her ballroom dancing career in the United Kingdom. Karina Smirnoff recently appeared on "Hannah Montana" with Billy Ray Cyrus. Karina Smirnoff and her former partner Slavik Kryklyvyy shared tremendous success winning the U.S. Championships and many other world titles and were ranked second in the world in the Latin division.
