Karl Champley is one of the carpenters featured in HGTV's reality furniture design competition series "Ellen's Design Challenge." He is also the host of DIY Network's "Wasted Spaces" and "DIY to the Rescue."

Master builder and certified home inspector Karl Champley has been involved in the building trade for more than twenty years, on two continents. He is a member of the Master Builder's Association of New South Wales in Australia and is a certified home inspector in the United States.

As a highly qualified tradesman, contractor and building consultant for both residential and commercial construction, he has won numerous awards, including one for a remodel of a four-story home in Sydney and one for the project management and construction of the glass house at the Royal Sydney Botanical Gardens.

Champley is currently building his family a modern green home situated in California's Santa Monica Mountains. So they'd have a place to rest their heads at night during the construction, Karl demolished their garage and created a beautifully designed small home. There's nothing he can't do.

Who is he dating? What do you think of him?
