Kevin Hart has turned his love of stand-up into a successful and versatile career as a film and television actor. He first debuted his act on amateur night in a Philadelphia comedy club and was instantly hooked. He quit his day job as a shoe salesman and began performing full time in renowned comedy clubs, including The Comedy Store and The Laugh Factory.
Hart's extensive feature film credits include, roles in "Fool's Gold" opposite Matthew McConaughey, "Drillbit Taylor," "The 40-Year-Old Virgin," "Along Came Polly", opposite Ben Stiller, "The Last Stand," "Meet Dave," "Soul Plane," "Scary Movie 3," "Scary Movie 4" and "Paper Soldiers."
His comedic talents are not limited to film, as Hart has built a broad resume in television as well. He starred in and executive produced ABC's "The Big House" and had recurring roles on "Love, Inc," "Barbershop" and "Undeclared." Recently, he followed in the footsteps of D.L. Hughley and Cedric the Entertainer, when he became host of BET's classic stand-up comedy series, "Comic View: One Mic Stand," which re-launched in September.
Coming up in 2009, Hart will star opposite Morris Chestnut and Eddie Cibrian in "Not Easily Broken" and will premiere his new one-hour comedy special, "I'm a Grown Little Man," on Comedy Central.
He currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two children.
