Kevin James stars in "Zookeeper" as Griffin Keyes. He also recently starred in "The Dilemma" as Nick Brannen.

Kevin James not only starred as Doug Heffernan in CBS's "The King of Queens," he also served as one of the show's executive producers. James made the transition into television after being discovered at the 1996 Montreal Comedy Festival, where he signed a development deal to create his own show. He was also cast in a recurring role on "Everybody Loves Raymond" with his friend and fellow comic Ray Romano.

Also a successful standup comedian, James was inspired by comedic idols such as Robert Klein and Jerry Seinfeld. He starred in his own one-hour comedy special, "Sweat the Small Stuff" on Comedy Central, and he makes regular appearances on the "Late Show with David Letterman." James tours the country performing his standup act. Entertainment Weekly took note of his comedic talent, naming him one of The 100 Most Creative People in Entertainment in its 2001 "It" issue.

James starred in "Paul Blart: Mall Cop" as well as "I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry," alongside Adam Sandler. He also starred in "Hitch" with Will Smith and Eva Mendes, voiced the lead character, Otis, in the Nick Movies feature "The Barnyard" and appeared in "Grownups."

James was born in Mineola, New York, and raised in Stony Brook, New York. Kevin James currently lives in Los Angeles.
