Lara Pulver's role as Irene Adler in BBC One's "Sherlock" has made her a household name in the UK. In 2012, she also starred in the final series of BBC One's award winning series "Spooks" as MI5 British spy Erin Watts. In 2010, Lara joined the cast of the third season of HBO's "True Blood" as Sookie Stackhouse's fairy godmother, Claudine Crane. Lara's television debut was in 2009 when she joined the regular cast of "Robin Hood" to play Isabella of Gisbourne.

Lara's work in television and theater has garnered a number of industry award nominations including Best Actress at The Critic's Circle Television Awards in 2012, two Best Actress in a Musical nominations at the Olivier Awards and Best Actress in a Musical at The What's On Stage Awards.

Her film credits include "Language of a Broken Heart," directed by Rocky Powell, "A Special Relationship," directed by Richard Loncraine, and the role of Diane Shaw in "Legacy," directed by Thomas Ikimi.

On stage, Lara has played the leading role of Lucille Frank in the Donmar Warehouse production of "Parade," directed by Rob Ashford. She then joined T.R. Knight and a new cast to reprise the role at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles. Lara recently played in "Uncle Vanya" at the Chichester Festival Theatre. Other credits include "Beau Jest" at the Hackney Empire, "Everything Must Go!" at London's Soho Theatre, "Into the Woods" at Royal Opera House and "The Last Five Years" at the Menier Chocolate Factory.
