Lara Spencer hosts the syndicated TV news magazine "The Insider" and has also hosted its sister program, "Entertainment Tonight." In addition, Lara Spencer often shows up on the syndicated TV talk show, "Rachael Ray," dishing on the beauty secret weapons of the stars.

Lara Spencer started out as an anchor and reporter for New York's WABC-TV's "Eyewitness News."  On ABC's "Good Morning America," Lara Spencer made a name for herself traveling the country reporting on some of the more extraordinary interests of ordinary Americans — from the Pokemon craze to the best mutts in America. Lara Spencer was a regular correspondent on the show from 1999 until 2004 when she became the host of PBS's "Antiques Roadshow" for two seasons.

A native of Garden City, New York, Lara Spencer was a competitive swimmer and attended Penn State University, where she studied communications.
