Larry Dyess from "Steven Seagal Lawman" is one of the police officers in the A&E reality docu-series.
"I became a police officer because I found the job exciting," says 18-year police veteran Sgt. Larry Dyess. "I am passionate about police work, I enjoy the thrill of the hunt, I'm meticulous while working cases, and I'm not satisfied until I've worked an investigation to fruition."
A dedicated cop, Sgt. Dyess began his career working for the New Orleans Police Department and joined the JPSO in 1996. "The most gratifying part of my job as a law enforcement officer is serving and protecting the public. As police officers, it is through our actions and decision making abilities that we are able to keep the citizens of Jefferson Parish safe." His ultimate goal is to be able to pass this strong sense of compassion and devotion he has onto the people around him.
During his off-duty hours, Sgt. Dyess enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. By being involved with his kids' school activities and sporting events, he tries to set a positive example of what it means to be a citizen in his community.
