Carson Daly Last Call with Carson Daly
Debuting in January of 2002, "Last Call with Carson Daly" boasts diverse bookings in the worlds of entertainment, politics and sports, and has a solid reputation for breaking new bands as well as showcasing the latest acts from the music industry. In addition to guest interviews and musical performances, "Last Call with Carson Daly" features nightly monologues by Daly, as well as comedy bits and sketches.

Daly, who has been entrenched in pop culture since his days as the host and executive producer
of MTV's "Total Request Live" ("TRL"), brings a personable and laid-back interview style to late-night TV. He provides viewers with the hottest stars in Hollywood such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Lucy Liu, Sienna Miller, Ludacris, Jake Gyllenhaal, Katie Holmes, Angelina Jolie, Chris Rock, Jessica Alba, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Vince Vaughn, among others. Well-known sports figures like the New York Knicks' Stephon Marbury, Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong and boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard also stop by "Last Call with Carson Daly."

It is the blend of current hit makers and fresh sounds from up-and-coming performers that places "Last Call with Carson Daly" at the forefront of today's evolving music scene. Many of the hottest bands have made their network TV debuts on "Last Call with Carson Daly," including Panic! At the Disco, The Killers, Maroon 5, Gavin DeGraw, Los Lonely Boys, Ray Lamontagne, among many others. More established artists have also made musical history on "Last Call with Carson Daly." It was in an unprecedented television performance that Green Day premiered their nine-minute song "Jesus of Suburbia," the centerpiece of their Grammy Award-winning rock opus "American Idiot."

Currently in its eighth season, "Last Call with Carson Daly" originally launched in New York City. However, the show moved from 30 Rock to Stage 9 on the Burbank lot. With the move to Los Angeles, the late-night show also welcomed singer/songwriter Joe Firstman as the house bandleader with a seven-piece band who provides some of the best live music in late-night television. Prior to naming Joe as the house bandleader, "Last Call with Carson Daly" had rotating house bands.

Besides hosting the successful "Last Call with Carson Daly," Daly has also hosted and produced, through NBC Universal Studio, the network's primetime New Year's Eve special. Since 2004, Daly has been ringing in the New Year in Times Square with viewers from around the world.

"Last Call with Carson Daly" is produced by Universal Media Studios and is taped before a live audience at NBC Studios in Burbank, California. David Friedman and Guy Oseary are executive producers.
