Laura Slade Wiggins stars in "Shameless" on Showtime as Karen Jackson, Lip's (Jeremy Allen White) tutoring student and neighborhood bad girl. Apparently, "Science just turns her on" and she is happy to repay Lip's tutoring with an unusual form of payment. Karen's mother is a bit "off," and her father is increasingly losing his patience with them both.
Born in Athens, Georgia, Laura Slade Wiggins discovered her passion for the arts at age eight and began performing in her community's theater productions.
At 16, she began focusing on film acting and upon graduating high school, moved to the West Coast to attend college and continue her acting career. In her free time, she enjoys creative writing, singing and playing the acoustic & bass guitar in the band Dawn Soir.
She currently resides in Los Angeles.
