Lauren Holly stars in "Motive" on ABC as Dr. Betty Rogers.

Lauren Holly's television credits include starring as Director Jenny Shepard in CBS's "NCIS" for three seasons and plastic surgeon Jeremy Hanlon on David E. Kelley's Emmy Award-nominated drama, "Chicago Hope." Her work on the series marked her second project with Kelley, following their successful collaboration on the critically acclaimed, Emmy Award-winning series, "Picket Fences." 

In addition to starring in the TV movie "King of Texas," and an adaptation of Shakespeare's "King Lear," opposite Academy Award-winner Marcia Gay Harden and renowned actor Patrick Stewart, Holly appeared in the miniseries "Jackie, Ethel, Joan: Women of Camelot."

Holly's breakthrough motion picture performance came in the box-office smash, "Dumb and Dumber," with Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels. Next, she received glowing reviews for her performance in the Edward Burns drama "No Looking Back." Her numerous film credits include Oliver Stone's "Any Given Sunday," Sydney Pollack's "Sabrina," the action-drama "Turbulence" and "Beautiful Girls." Other film credits include a lead role in "Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story," and feature roles in "What Women Want," "A Smile Like Yours," "The Adventures of Ford Fairlane," "Down Periscope," "Entropy" and "The Last Producer," starring and directed by Burt Reynolds. She was also seen in "Fatwa," for which she additionally served as executive producer, "Pleasure Drivers" and "Chasing 3000."

Other projects include "Colored Eggs," "Don't You Cry for Me," "Pavement," "Godfather of Green Bay" and "The Chumscrubber." Additionally, she played the lead in Disney's Oscar-winning animated motion picture "Spirited Away" as the voice of Chihiro's mother.

Holly was born in Bristol, Pennsylvania, and attended Sarah Lawrence College. She currently lives in California with her husband and her three sons, Alexander, George and Henry.
