Lee Pace stars in "Ceremony," alongside Michael Angarano, Uma Thurman and Reece Daniel Thompson, as Whit. However, Pace is probably best known for his Emmy-nominated portrayal of Ned, the pie-maker with the ability to bring the dead back to life with his touch, on ABC's "Pushing Daisies."
Pace previously co-starred as Aaron Tyler, the older brother of a young woman who takes advice from inanimate objects in Fox's cult series "Wonderfalls," created by Fuller and Todd Holland.
Born in Oklahoma, Lee Pace spent his early years living in the Middle East where his father was in the oil business in Saudi Arabia. His family moved back to the States to live in New Orleans and later, Houston. Pace attended high school in Houston where he began acting, and got so involved with his craft that he dropped out of high school to perform at the local Alley Theatre. He was accepted at Juilliard (after completing his last high school courses), where he studied between 1997 and 2001, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. During this time, he honed his skills in such classic roles as Romeo in "Romeo and Juliet," the title role in "King Richard II" and Cassius in"Julius Caesar," among others.
A Juilliard School alumnus, Pace began his career on stage. He most recently garnered a 2007 Lucille Lortel Award nomination for Outstanding Leading Actor for "Guardians," Peter Morris's two-character play inspired by the Abu Ghraib scandals. Jason Moore directed "Guardians" for the Culture Project. For his performance as a haunted Bosnian economics student/Oedipus in Craig Lucas's "Small Tragedy" (a play-within-a-play, directed by Mark Wing-Davey for Playwrights Horizons), Pace received his first Lucille Lortel Award nomination for Outstanding Actor and shared an Obie Award with the ensemble. He portrayed a gangster in Janusz Glowacki's "The Fourth Sister" (director: Lisa Peterson, Vineyard Theatre), and a painter whose obsession with a French artist sends his life into a tailspin in the Playwrights Horizons production of Keith Bunin's "The Credeaux Canvas," directed by Michael Mayer.
Pace was the star of the 2003 Sundance hit, "Soldier's Girl," an extraordinary telefilm for Showtime, written by Ron Nyswaner and directed by Frank Pierson. His breakthrough performance as a drag queen in love with a soldier garnered Lee a Golden Globe nomination, an Independent Spirit Award nomination, and a Gotham Award for Outstanding Breakthrough Performance.
Pace starred alongside Amy Adams and Frances McDormand in Bharat Nalluri's "Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day." Based on the novel by Winifred Watson, the Focus Features release concerns a dowdy governess sent to the home of a glamorous up and coming actress in 1938. Pace portrays Michael, a wild misfit piano player who, upon his return from prison, returns to persuade the actress (Adams) to marry him.
Pace has also starred in such films as "Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day" (2008), opposite Frances McDormand and Amy Adams, and most recently Tom Dey's "Marmaduke" (2010), amidst an all-star cast including Judy Greer and William H. Macy.

Pace also co-starred opposite Matt Damon in Robert De Niro's CIA drama, "The Good Shepherd," and played Dick Hickcock in "Infamous," Doug McGrath's take on Truman Capote's chronicle of the Clutter family murders, which featured Toby Jones, Daniel Craig, Sigourney Weaver, Gwyneth Paltrow and Sandra Bullock.
