"Legit" (TV show) is an original scripted comedy series on FXX, starring Australian comedian Jim Jefferies, that follows his misguided attempts to become legitimate in life.

Jim Jefferies is an edgy, foul-mouthed stand-up comedian from Australia, in his mid-30s and living in LA, struggling to make his life and career more "legit," only to find it a difficult, uncomfortable uphill struggle every step of the way. Jim is encouraged in his quest by Steve (Dan Bakkedahl), his neurotic best friend and roommate, a cyber-law library salesman who struggles to stay on his feet in the wake of a divorce, and Steve's brother, Billy (DJ Qualls), who suffers from advanced staged Muscular Dystrophy and is confined to a wheelchair.

Season 2

Season 2 goes a bit deeper with comedian Jim Jefferies pondering why he's never had a relationship longer than six months; whether he's a sex addict; and how to deal with an extended visit from his parents and his roommates' dad, Walter. With responsibility also falling on Jim's shoulders to cover for his roommate Steve — who has descended into alcoholism after losing his daughter to his ex-wife — Jim juggles his unnatural inclination to be a good guy with an overwhelming desire to take his career to the next level and rekindle a romance with his high school sweetheart. Meanwhile, Jim's other roommate, Billy, faces an earth-shattering loss while adjusting to new muscular dystrophy medications and an unconventional romantic relationship.

FX's "Legit" was co-created by Peter O'Fallon ("The Riches") and Jefferies. O'Fallon, Jefferies and Rick Cleveland ("Nurse Jackie," "Mad Men") serve as executive producers. Lisa Blum of New Wave Entertainment is also an executive producer. The pilot episode was directed by O'Fallon. The series is produced by FX Productions.
