LeRoy Bell from "The X Factor" is one of the top 17 contestants in the FOX reality singing competition series. He is a 60-year-old songwriter currently splitting his time between Edmonds and Seattle, Washington. He grew up though in Tacoma, Washington.
LeRoy Bell ("X Factor") sang "Lean on Me" for his audition in Newark, New Jersey. All four judges voted yes to send Leroy Bell through to boot camp. He made it through the week and is competing in the over 30s category under the mentorship of Nicole Scherzinger.
After surviving the week at the judges homes and making it into the top 17, he said, "The experience has been wild and exciting, at the same time a little bit scary ... One of the things I've learned is you can teach an old dog new tricks. I can still learn something. The show has taught me that I am more flexible than I thought I was."
