Lex Medlin stars in "Drop Dead Diva" on Lifetime as Owen French.

Lex Medlin was born in Auburn, Alabama, and grew up in 10 different states. When he made his move to Los Angeles, he began his training as an actor at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

Medlin's television credits include a series leading role on the FOX sitcom "Happy Hour" as well as a recurring role on the drama series "Southland." He also had major recurring arcs on two other comedies: "Still Standing," as Mark Addy's friend and nemesis, Jerry Bergner, and "Rock Me Baby" with Dan Cortese. Additional television credits include "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "The Closer," "Men of a Certain Age," "Monk," "Friends," "Titus" and "Married to the Kellys," to name a few.

Like many other actors, Medlin began his acting career by landing commercials. To date he has shot over 130 commercials.

When not acting, Medlin spends his free time being a sports fanatic, watching movies and drinking light beer. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and three children.
