On television, Lindsay Duncan is known for playing Servilia of the Junii on HBO's drama series "Rome." She is best known though for her work on stage, where she won Tony, Drama Desk and Laurence Olivier Theatre Awards for Best Actress for the acclaimed West End and Broadway production of Noel Coward's "Private Lives." She was also nominated for a Tony and won an Olivier and a Theatre World Award for the role of Merteuil in the Royal Shakespeare Company, West End and Broadway production of "Les Liaisons Dangereuses." Her other stage credits include "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" and "Mouth to Mouth."

On British television, Duncan recently starred in ITV's drama "White Heat" and BBC's comedy "Come Fly With Me." She has also appeared in "Spy," "Merlin," "Absolutely Fabulous," "Against the Wall," "Doctor Who" and "MI-5," as well as such miniseries as "The Sinking of the Laconia," "Lost in Austen,""Oliver Twist," "The History of Tom Jones, a Foundling," "Jake's Progres," "A Year in Provence," "G.B.H." and "Traffik."

Duncan's film credits include "About Time," "Alice in Wonderland," "The Queen of Sheba's Pearls," "Under the Tuscan Sun," "AfterLife," "Mansfield Park," "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace," "An Ideal Husband," "Letters to a Street Child," "A Midsummer Night's Dream," "Body Parts" and "The Reflecting Skin."
