Lindsey Creel from "Project Runway 2015" is one of the contestants in Season 14 of the Lifetime reality fashion design competition series. She is a 28-year-old designer from Austin, Texas.

After graduating from high school, Lindsey Creel moved to New York for an internship in fashion. She loved the city, but the pressure to make rent hampered her ability to focus on her designs. She moved to Austin, launching her own line that caters to hip girls who appreciate her brand of understated elegance. Lindsey is inspired by the rich warm tones found in Native American culture, which she finds romantic.

Why she'll win? Lindsey is a fierce competitor. She's here to gain exposure and capital for her business. She is dead set on winning "Project Runway," determined to end Manhattan's monopoly in American fashion and put Austin on the map.

Lindsey's favorite designers are Marni, Lyell, Umit Benan, Rag & Bone, Dries Van Noten and Rachel Comey. Lindsey's style icon is Jean Seberg, while her favorite past "Project Runway" designer is Michelle Lesniak.

Here is an interview with Lindsey:

When did you realize you had designer potential?

I learned to sew when I was very young from my grandmother and great grandmother. It took me quite a few years to gain confidence and my own point of view. My great grandmother was a huge supporter of my work, and after she passed two years ago I decided to launch my line (M.E. Shirley) as an ode to her.

Have you won any awards for your designs?

Austin Fashion Week Fashion Fund winner 2014. Austin Monthly Best of the City Rising Star Designer 2014.

Strengths as a designer?

Patternmaking, sewing, ready-to-wear.

Weaknesses as a designer?

I can be a perfectionist to a fault when it comes to constructing garments. Also, I occasionally have bouts of all consuming self-doubt.

Biggest fear as a designer?

Failure or success — sometimes they are equally scary.

How did you end up auditioning for "Project Runway"?

I've never auditioned for "Project Runway" before, although it has crossed my mind several times. I was prompted to apply last minute so I figured I'd give it a shot.

Challenge you wish they'd bring back?

The makeover other contestants challenge from way back was pretty great

Challenge you hope they don't?

The stilt walkers challenge. Oof, that was rough to watch.

What's your take on team challenges?

I don't think team challenges have to be so bad, as long as you are with someone who can compromise and work together. Ego seems to get in the way a lot.

Do you think you can win "Project Runway"?

I do believe I can win. I'm here to gain exposure and capital for my business. I want to win, and I'm ready to win. I'm also aware that it could really go either way… if they like my point of view I'll do great. If not, I won't last long. We will see!
