Loredana Nesci stars in Sundance Channel's reality docu-series "Loredana ESQ."

Loredana Nesci received her undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut in Storrs. She moved to California where she began her legal career as a Los Angeles police officer in 1996. While in the Police Academy, she was voted the class vice president and excelled in learning the law. As a street cop, she worked Southwest District. Out of the many hair-raising memories she has from being a cop, her most memorable moment as a cop was her involvement in the North Hollywood shoot out. She and her partner were assigned the tasks of guarding the money that was almost stolen, assisting FBI agents and releasing the hostages from the bank.

In 1998, Ms. Nesci left the LAPD to attend Quinnipiac University School of Law. During law school, she worked for The Law Offices of Brian J. Woolf, in East Hartford, Connecticut, where she gained experience in criminal defense, both at the federal and state level, family law, personal injury law and civil litigation. She also worked for Spinella & Associates, P.C., in Hartford, Connecticut, where she helped prosecute police brutality cases and other Section 1983 Civil Rights cases in federal court. Also during this time, she volunteered as a legal intern for the Attorney General of Connecticut, Richard Blumenthal.

After graduating law school, Nesci passed the Connecticut State Bar and stayed on with Spinella & Associates where she expanded the firm's practice to include entertainment law, a division that Nesci headed. But in 2003, she was wooed by Cadden, Ivers & Ivers, a popular boutique firm in Meriden, Connecticut, to join their team. Nesci was popular in Meriden, the city in which she was born and raised. While in Meriden, she handled workers' compensation cases, personal injury cases, family law cases, criminal cases, civil disputes, entertainment law matters and landlord-tenant disputes. During her short time with Cadden, Ivers & Ivers, she was interviewed in the press often for having defended James Chapman, the young man who burglarized firehouses across Connecticut; and it is during her time there that the prestigious Connecticut Law Tribune wrote a feature article on her as a legal personality and dubbed her "The Legal Diva."

In 2004, The Legal Diva returned to California and opened up shop under her own brand. Nesci will still on occasion represent clients from her home state of Connecticut. As an attorney in California, she has already made headlines for trying a 25-year-old murder case where she and her co-counsel hung the jury; for acting as one of the lead class representatives in the class action against Bar/Bri, where the members of the class were comprised solely of attorneys; and for exposing the illicit affair that the Mayor of Ontario, Paul Leon was having with Diana Huizar, a contract city employee during city working hours.

Nesci has always been an athlete and involved in sports. She played on basketball teams, softball teams, soccer teams and was even the captain of a cheerleading squad. During her university years, she began weight-training and fell in love with it. A mere six months into it, she entered a state physique contest and placed second. This unexpected win motivated her to continue training and competing. Her favorite and most memorable fitness accomplishment is her second place win at the 1999 California Fitness Championships held at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center in Redondo Beach, California. Her fitness state and regional success enabled her to compete at the national level. She still weight trains; however she prefers practicing yoga, running, biking, hiking and isometric training.

In the latter part of December 2008, Nesci was offered to host her own radio show on the local California radio station, KCAA 1050 AM. After 4 months of producing and hosting the show, "The Lowwdown with the Legal Diva," Nesci's show got picked up for syndication and can be heard in California, Texas, Tennessee, and Utah or on the web. Her goal for the show is to expose and to discuss the news that mainstream media will not.
