Lucas Cruikshank stars in Nickelodeon's comedy series "Marvin Marvin" as the title character.

Lucas Cruikshank is a writer, director, and actor whose "Fred" videos are a certifiable YouTube sensation. The videos are so popular that they have led to him making a guest appearance on Nickelodeon's "iCarly" as Fred, two Nickelodeon movies: "Fred: The Movie" and its sequel "Fred 2: Night of the Living Fred," and a short-form TV series "Fred: The Show."

A Nebraska native who has garnered international attention as the creator of the wildly popular YouTube series "Fred," Lucas Cruikshank is the producer, writer, director and star of one of the most popular sites in YouTube history, with more than 900 million views and over two million worldwide subscribers. He started off making YouTube videos with his two cousins, John and Katie, under the banner, JKL Productions. In 2008, Cruikshank decided to go it alone and came up with the character of Fred, a 6 year old who talks in a super squeaky high voice at a million miles a minute. Fred has anger management issues and an alcoholic mother.

Cruikshank says, "Two years ago my mom bought me this new video editing software as a gift, and when I was playing with it I realized it had this effect to make a voice sound all squeaky. I thought it sounded hilarious, and came up with 6-year-old Fred and posted 'Fred on Halloween,' which was kind of a tongue-in-cheek way of poking fun at people on YouTube who post video blogs showing and talking about everything they do. I actually hated "Fred" at first and at one point wanted to kill him off, so I sure understand why there are people who don't like Fred and find him annoying. Fred IS the person you wouldn't want to be around in real life because he's annoying, but he's also got heart and vulnerablility, which is part of what I think draws the fans to him too."

Cruikshank expanded the Fred character from digital video popularity to mainstream feature-length entertainment with the 2010 Nickelodeon smash hit "Fred: The Movie" which delivered 8.7 million total viewers, and two movie sequels "Fred 2: Night of the Living Fred" and "Fred 3: Camp Fred" as well as the live-action, short-form comedy series "Fred: The Show," which followed the character on his latest hilarious adventures at home and in school. He made his TV debut on the mega-hit series "iCarly" in 2009 with his episode, "iMeet Fred," drawing 5.1 million total viewers. Cruikshank's other television credits include guest-starring appearances in the live-action comedy-adventure series "Supah Ninjas," as an awkward high school teenager who creates a super hero alter-ego for himself named Kick Butt, and in Disney Channel's "Hannah Montana."

Daily Variety named Cruikshank as one of 2010's "Top 10 Comics to Watch" and The Hollywood Reporter listed him as among the "50 Most Powerful Players in Digital Media" described as "the people you need to watch if you want to stay abreast of how the content business is being revolutionized." Cruikshank also won the Teen Choice Award in 2009 for "Most Popular Internet Star" and was nominated in 2010 for the same category.

Cruikshank is also a dancer and takes Jazz, Tap, and Hip Hop classes. He has two brothers and five sisters.
