Lucian Msamati stars as J.L.B. Matekoni on HBO's "The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency."

In addition to his acclaimed international acting career, Lucian Msamati is a founding member and Artistic Director of Zimbabwe's acclaimed Over The Edge Theatre Company. He also wrote the play "Zuva Crumbling" which was performed at London's Lyric Hammersmith Theatre.

Lucian Msamati's television credits include "Spooks," "Just Like Ronaldinho," "Ultimate Force," "Too Close for Comfort," "The Knock," and "Heads and Tales." His feature film credits include "The International," "Coffin," "Legend of the Sky," "Kingdom," "Dr. Juju," and "Lumumba."
