Luke Arnold stars in "Black Sails" on Starz as the classic character, John Silver, in the years before his well-known feats.

From an early age Luke Arnold spent his time moving around Australia working in a range of jobs such as magician and swordfight choreographer. It was only when he was accepted into the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) in 2004 that he firmly set his sights on a professional acting career. A year after graduating he landed his first feaure film role as the lead in "Broken Hill" which saw him acting opposite Academy Award Winner Timothy Hutton, "Spy Kids" star Alexa Vega and fellow aussie Rhys Wakefield. Other film credits include "Murder in the Dark," "Dealing with Destiny" and "The Tunnel Movie." He has also worked on Australian television series such as "Winners & Losers," "McLeod's Daughters," "Rush," "The Elephant Princess" and "Rescue: Special Ops."
