Dawn Richard stars on MTV's reality series, "Making the Band 4," as a member of the musical group, Danity Kane.
Given her upbringing, Danity Kane's Dawn Richard was destined to have a successful music career. Dawn Richard's mother owned a dance studio while her father was a keyboardist in the R&B band Chocolate Milk. Her parents' talents ignited in Dawn Richard an unquenchable desire to perform.
Before becoming a member of Danity Kane during "Making the Band 3," the Louisiana native studied tap, jazz, ballet and hip-hop dance; was a cheerleader for the New Orleans Hornets; and was a member of the group Angelique. Often referred to as "the passion" of Danity Kane, Dawn Richard admits that when she's onstage she becomes someone else -- someone wild, crazy and sexy. Now it's time for her to step up to the mic and start working on the band's sophomore album.
