Malachi Kirby stars in A&E's miniseries "Roots" as Kunta Kinte, a Mandinka warrior who is educated, proud, strong and resilient — all traits that empower him when he is captured by slavers.

British actor Malachi Kirby played the recurring role of Wayne Ladlow in BBC's long-running crime drama "EastEnders." He has also appeared on UK television in "BBC Comedy Feeds," "Way to Go," "Doctors," "The Bill," "Silent Witness" and "Casualty." In addition, he starred in the television movies "Lawless" and "My Murder."

On the big screen, Kirby was seen in the war drama "Kilo Two Bravo" with David Elliot, the thriller "The Last Showing," starring Robert Englund, and "Gone Too Far," which is a drama about estranged brothers who meet for the first time.
