A substitute teacher now living in Los Angeles, Mara Hall grew up dealing with the problem of being overweight all her life. The reality of the dangers of obesity was brought home when her brother, who gained weight after going off to college, suddenly died of undiagnosed diabetes. Mara who was recently diagnosed with diabetes, has committed herself to pursuing a healthier lifestyle.
