Marc Donato stars in "Degrassi: The Next Generation" as Derek Haig.
A Toronto native, Marc Donato had a number of productions under his belt prior to "Degrassi," including roles in the films "White Oleander," "Pay It Forward," "Map of the World" and "The Sweet Hereafter." His performance in "White Oleander" earned him a Young Artist Award. In 2009, he played Dane in the feature film "The Final." Marc has appeared in countless television series and commercials, animation, and radio dramas.
In
2007, Marc traveled to Africa with five members of the "Degrassi" cast to build a school in Kenya with the organization Free the Children. A documentary about the trip aired on MTV in Canada.
