Marc Macaulay stars in "Drive Angry," alongside Nicolas Cage, Amber Heard and William Fichtner, as Sarge.

Marc Macaulay accepted a friend's dare in his junior year of college to audition for a play. His friend had done several shows and planned a career as an actor while Marc, on the other hand, was well on his way to becoming a commercial illustrator. After the auditions the cast list was posted. There he was, one of the leads, and there his friend wasn't.

He continued acting and received a scholarship and ultimately graduated with a BFA in theater. Macaulay spent a year at The Burt Reynolds Institute for Theatre Training in Jupiter, Florida and then moved to New York City. He spent six years in NYC, where he shot his first movie, worked on several TV shows and studied at H.B. Studios.

The winters were brutal and acting jobs sporadic so he had lots of "survival jobs." The '80s brought about the writers' strike. It was freezing, he was an unemployed actor, and sunny Florida had a hit TV series called "Miami Vice." Needless to say, Marc packed up and moved back to Florida. He had grown up in central Florida, so he was thrilled to be going back. Florida was growing rapidly in the entertainment industry and Marc had a lot of opportunities available.

His recent film credits include an appearance in "Conviction," starring Hillary Swank, and a role as a cop in "I Love You Phillip Morris," starring Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor. Macaulay has also appeared in "My Bloody Valentine, "Red Eye," starring Rachel McAdams and Cillian Murphy, and "Transporter 2," with Jason Statham. Macaualy's numerous TV credits include a recurring role on "Burn Notice" as Agent Harris, and appearances on "Dexter," "Prison Break," "Miami Vice," "CSI," "Nash Bridges," "ER," "Matlock" and "Swamp Thing."
