Marcus Vick stars in "The Michael Vick Project," a BET reality docu-series.
Marcus Vick is Michael's younger brother. Marcus's early football career was very similar to Michael's. After becoming a high school football star, Marcus accepted a full scholarship to Virginia Tech and, just like Michael, quickly became the starting quarterback. Even though Marcus's talent was undeniable, he was dismissed from the university due to several legal infractions off the field, and a very bad example of unsportsmanlike conduct on it.
After being kicked out of Virginia Tech, Marcus entered the 2006 NFL Draft but was not among the 255 players drafted. Many of the NFL's scouts questioned his attitude and his ability to avoid future troubles on and off the field, though few questioned his talent.
In 2006, Marcus signed as a free agent with the Miami Dolphins. After beating the odds and making the team, he made little impact on the field. A few days after Michael's indictment, the Dolphins opted to part ways with Marcus.
With his big brother locked up, Marcus's past few years have been paved with legal troubles. In August 2009, Marcus was sentenced to 20 days in jail for violating his probation. His appeal resulted in a 30-day sentence, which he began serving October 20, 2009.
