Mario Joyner stars in "Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star," opposite Nick Swardson, as Claudio.

A versatile and energetic performer with an appealing smile, Mario Joyner sends an audience rolling in the aisles with his uncanny ability to create verbal chaos out of everyday situations.

Originally hailing from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Joyner is from a family of seven brothers and sisters and is the son of a preacher ("the only man who could make a Jehovah's Witness say "I think we have go go."). Joyner now makes his home in Santa Monica, California.

Currently juggling a busy schedule on the national club circuit, Joyner was formerly the host of MTV's "Half-Hour Comedy Hour." He has appeared many times on "The Late Show with David Letterman" and Showtime's "Aspen Comedy Festival," as well as his own "One Night Stand" special on HBO. Joyner has been the opening act for numerous tours and concerts, most notably for Jay Leno, Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock and Kool and the Gang.

Joyner made his film-acting debut as a cab driver with passengers Ted Danson, Steve Guttenberg and Tom Selleck in Touchstone Pictures' smash hit "Three Men and a Baby." Joyner starred as Tom in "Hangin' with the Homeboys" from New Line Cinema. He also appeared in "Down to Earth" and the cult classic "Pootie Tang."
