Mark Addy stars in "Games of Thrones" on HBO as Robert Baratheon. Addy also stars in the movie "Barney's Version," opposite Paul Giamatti and Dustin Hoffman, as Detective O'Hearne.

Mark Addy studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, and he began his career on television, appearing in award-winning comedies such as "The Thin Blue Line." He has since gone on to work on the US hit television series, "Still Standing" and Anand Tucker's critically acclaimed "Red Riding: 1983."

In 1997, Mark Addy starred in "The Full Monty," which led to a BAFTA nomination and a Screen Actors Guild Award. Mark Addy also starred in "The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas," "Jack Frost," with Michael Keaton, "Down to Earth," with Chris Rock, and with Heath Ledger in both "The Order" and "A Knight's Tale." Addy recently starred in Ridley Scott's "Robin Hood" (2010), as Friar Tuck.

His upcoming films include the Gruinder Chadha's comedy "It's a Wonderful Afterlife," with Sally Hawkins. Addy also recently started working with Sean Bean on the highly anticipated HBO fantasy series "Game of Thrones."
