Marta Gastini stars in "The Rite," opposite Anthony Hopkins, as Rosaria. 

Marta Gastini is a young Italian film and television actress. When she was only five years old she started studying ballet, modern jazz and contemporary dance, taking courses in singing and playing piano. Her passion for dance helped Marta discover her great love for acting. At the age of 14, she joined a theater workshop with which she acted in some of the great classics: "The Tempest" by Shakespeare, "The General Inspector" by Gogol, "Il Campiello" by Goldoni, "The Seagull" by Chekhov.

In 2006, she studied in England, Canterbury at the Stafford House College. In 2007 Marta attended a course at the New York Film Academy held in Paris at the Film School La Femis and shot some short movies. In 2008 while studying for her final examinations she gained her first role in a detective tv series, "Good and Evil," for Rai Uno, directed by Giorgio Serafini and Dario Acocella. After obtaining her high school certificate with honors, she moved to Rome to shoot a second tv series, "The Man Who Rode in the Dark," in which she played the leading role of Serena, opposite Terence Hill. In 2009, she played the role of Martina in "Me & Marilyn," a comedy film from director Leonardo Pieraccioni.

Between 2010 and 2011 Marta will play the part of Giulia Farnese for international television in the series "Borgia" directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel and produced by Atlantique Productions and EOS Entertainment.
